Tessa Harris

Tessa trained in Accountancy and Business Management but decided early on that she was more interested in event management. She worked at Concord Services in London and then with the much larger Blenheim Group where she managed a range of conferences and exhibitions including the national Electronic Data Interchange events (between 1988 and 1991) in London and Birmingham, the Computer Aided Trade shows in Munich and Madrid, and the EDI in the Oil and Gas Industry event in Lisbon.

She spotted a gap in the market for event and membership management services in 1991 and left Blenheim to start her own business (which now trades as Harris Associates). She built up a portfolio of clients but, until recently, decided to focus on two core accounts whilst raising children.

Barnaby Harris

Barnaby is a specialist in publishing and web technologies and met Tessa whilst doing publishing contract work for the Blenheim Group. His business, Red Admiral Limited (www.redadmiral.eu), advises companies on the best use of web technologies to support online collaboration (web seminars, document sharing, virtual team working) and flexible working.

With the growth of the internet and the wide availability of broadband it made sense for him to join forces with Tessa to provide added value to her clients where it was needed – advising on and / or delivering web, publishing and collaboration services where appropriate.
